About

Maritime Technology’s core area is to develop methods and models that can be applied to the maritime sector. Our focus is on sustainable ship operation and ship construction, with particular emphasis on energy efficiency, maintenance, vibration analysis, and fatigue. ÌǹûÅÉ¶Ô â€“ Maritime Research Platform

The ÌǹûÅÉ¶Ô Maritime Research Platform was established in 2022 based on a donation from A/S Dampskibsselskabet Orient’s Fond. The platform consists of maritime research projects in four faculties across the University of Southern Denmark, mostly PhD and postdoc projects.

Co-operation

We provide collaboration with the maritime industry through research projects and research-based consultancy. We ensure that research results flow between the university, industry and maritime academies. Maritime Technology is dedicated to exchanging knowledge, expertise and competences with society and authorities through our participation in advisory boards, technical networks, and committees.

BlueÌǹûÅÉ¶Ô - a cross-disciplinary research network:

Blue ÌǹûÅÉ¶Ô is an interdisciplinary research network unifying maritime and marine researchers at ÌǹûÅɶÔ. The network was established in 2014 and the members are researchers from 9 different ÌǹûÅÉ¶Ô departments across 5 faculties.
