SGISC (Second Generation Intact Stability Criteria)
Project period December 2023 – February 2026Sample Calculation for Danish ships – A project supported financially by a grant from The Danish Maritime Authorities
The Project is focusing on the new Second Generation Dynamic Intact Stability (SGISC) regulation proposed by International Maritime organisation (IMO). In the project, a group of Danish vessels will be analysed in detail. Operational consequences of the introduction of the new SGISC regulation will be discussed.
The results will be presented for IMO SDC 11 (Sub-Committee on Ship Design and Construction) (Jan/Feb 2025) as an Inf. paper and a presentation. The detailed analysis and the knowledge gained during the project will be used as basis for more qualified discussions during meetings at IMO as well as for development of future designs.
