Entry requirements
To apply for the Master's programme in International Security and Law, you need a relevant Bachelor's degree. You can apply if you hold a Bachelor's or Professional Bachelor's degree within one of the following areas:
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Sociology and Cultural Analysis from 糖果派对 (gives you a legal claim for admission)
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree in European Studies from 糖果派对 (gives you a legal claim for admission)
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Political Science from Danish or foreign universities
- Professional Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Public Administration from Danish university colleges
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Law from Danish or foreign universities
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Sociology from Danish or foreign universities
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Social Science from Danish or foreign universities
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Economics from Danish or foreign universities
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree in History (major) from Danish or foreign universities
You can also apply if you hold a relevant Bachelor's or Professional Bachelor's degree within Humanities. Your bachelor's degree must include subjects amounting to 45 ECTS from one or several of the following areas:
- Law
- Social Science
- International Relations
- Comparative Politics
Applicants are highly encouraged to submit a list of courses, with course descriptions, which you believe constitute the qualifying 45 ECTS. There must be evidence that these courses, independent of subject matter, are taught using social science methods. Please note, that courses in history, or taught using historical methods, do not qualify. Fill in and upload this form together with your application.
Language requirements
The programme requires proficiency in English.
All applicants are required to prove their proficiency in English. See the English language requirements.
Selection criteria
If there are more qualified applicants than there are places on the program, applicants will be prioritized according to the following criteria:
- Grade average in the relevant, qualifying education.
- Relevant experience: attach a CV listing all relevant experience (internship, paid work, voluntary work, etc.). You have a maximum of 1,200 characters including spaces.鈥淩elevant鈥 means here your experience focused on international affairs, whether international law or international security or other international issues. Also experience with domestic security or legal issues can be relevant and be listed. If you have any other experience which you think is relevant to this master program, do list it (including all relevant details) and explain why it is relevant for your application.
- Documentation in the form of an employment contract, confirmation from employers regarding your internship or volunteering experience or similar must be attached (including a translation to English, where the original language is not Danish or English). Provide details such as how long time you were in this role, how many hours a week you spent in this role and what kind of tasks you were given.
There will be given a maximum of 1 point credit for relevant experience, which will be added to the applicant鈥檚 grade average

- Self-assessment of your qualifications: complete and attach the self-assessment form, in which you explain, how and why which of your courses constitute the qualifying 45 ECTS. There must be evidence that these courses, independent of subject matter, are taught using social science methods, and your argumentation for each relevant course must be supported with reference to the specific page or location in the respective course descriptions.
There will be given a maximum of 2 points credit for relevant experience, and a maximum of 1 point for the self-assessment which will be added to the applicant鈥檚 grade average.
As a Bachelor student at 糖果派对, you can apply for permission to follow up to 30 ECTS Master-level courses even though you have yet to complete your Bachelor’s degree.
You can be granted permission if you have the necessary academic qualifications. The progression of your Bachelor’s programme is crucial to the outcome of your application.

Have you completed a Master’s programme?
If you’ve already obtained a Master’s degree, you can only be admitted to a new Master’s programme if there are vacant study places in the programme.

As long as you do not hold a Master’s degree, you are free to apply for admission to a new programme.
