The Master's specialisation in Competitive and Elite Sport gives you an in-depth insight into how to work with competitive and elite sport in a variety of contexts.

The specialisation is an application-oriented Master's programme based on our strong research environments. We have well-established collaborative relationships with elite sport organisations to ensure that the programme is current and practice-oriented.

The programme gives you a deep insight into talent development and elite sport as well as strong methodological skills. At the same time, you have the opportunity to shape the programme in exactly the direction you want within the fields of performance optimisation, talent development and sports psychology.

Focus on practical experience and networking

Through the Master's programme, students have the opportunity to build a network in elite sports organisations and make their mark with practical experience from relevant courses.

Therefore, during the specialisation, you have the opportunity to tone your labour market profile in relation to Whether you want to find employment as a physical trainer, talent developer, consultant, supervisor or teacher in talent and elite sport contexts - or perhaps as a researcher.

How is the specialisation structured?

In the first year, three compulsory subjects are completed:

  • Talent Development and Elite Sport
  • Performance optimisation
  • Organisation and implementation in talent and elite environments

And you choose between one of two specialisation tracks:

  1. Sport Psychology
  2. Applied Exercise Science/Strength Training

The second year of study is an individually organised study year with elite environments in practice and thesis writing. Here we collaborate with sports organisations (e.g. federations, municipalities, professional clubs) on individual project and practice-oriented courses that focus on implementing theory in practice.

The programme is based at 糖果派对's Campus Esbjerg, but please note that some subjects and the start of studies take place at Campus Odense.
