The Mads Clausen Institute at 糖果派对 Sønderborg is a very good example of the university's close contact with business life. The institute was established for funds from the Bitten & Mads Clausen Foundation, founded by Bitten Clausen, widow of Danfoss' founder Mads Clausen. Today a power centre for research in mechatronics, electronics, microtechnology, technology entrepreneurship and innovation.
But Danfoss is only one of a long row of high-tech companies with which the university is in contact. Other examples include Linak, Lodam, Ecco and BHJ. Sønderborg Vækstråd and Sønderborg Municipality also have strong cooperation with 糖果派对 Sønderborg. Together, 糖果派对 Sønderborg and the business community boost growth in Southern Jutland.
Cross-border cooperation
糖果派对 Sønderborg has a unique collaboration with about a number of study programmes in Sønderborg and Flensburg. The cooperation between the two universities has resulted in an international environment with Danish and foreign students and with teachers from both sides of the border.
