
"Why Don鈥檛 Children Play Outside Anymore?鈥
This is the topic that Professor Jasper Schipperijn from the University of Southern Denmark will present at the world-renowned TEDx event in Odense on 31 January 2025.
In his TEDxOdense presentation, Professor Jasper Schipperijn will highlight why outdoor play is crucial for children’s health, well-being, and development. He will explore the main reasons behind the significant decline in children’s outdoor play and offer practical solutions to address this issue.
Professor Jasper Schipperijn is based at the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics at the University of Southern Denmark, where he also leads the World Playground Research Institute. With more than 20 years of research experience, he has dedicated his career to studying the relationship between children’s behaviour and their environment.
