Praise for Innovation and Business at alumni seminar
A large group of graduates and current students participated in the first alumni event for the MSc engineering program Innovation and Business. Representatives from industry emphasized the graduates' ability to communicate and navigate in companies.
-InnovationÌýand Business engineers have a talent for communication in that they are able to create an understanding for the organization but also for the technical area. They are adept in navigating in the company and in building up networks very fast.ÌýSo was the message from several different representatives from industry when more than 40 present and past students of InnovationÌýand Business gathered for an alumni seminar, where the purpose was to make a current status on where graduates have made their careers to this point – as well as strengthening the ties to present and former fellow students.
Several I&B graduates presented their present career positions, which covered business developer to innovation engineer and researcher. In addition, there were contributions from industry by Kirsten Nielsen from Siemens Wind Power and Michael Jensen from Danfoss Silicon Power.

Just as there were many praises for the graduates and there competences, over the course of the evening many positive words were alsoÌýadded to the study program itself. Among other things, the guestsÌýtalked thoroughly about the updated study program for both bachelor and master level. Many stressed the importance of makingÌýthe technical courses visible, which they believe willÌýincrease the value of the graduates to industry.
With a positive atmosphere,Ìýthe evening ended with great food andÌýthe sense among the guestsÌýthat the study program InnovationÌýand Business is very important for the technological future – it embraces and links together technology, innovation and sound business management.
