
Head of Institute becomes member of Denmark鈥檚 Scientific Academy
Professor and Head of Institute Horst-G眉nter Rubahn has been appointed member of Denmark鈥檚 Scientific Academy.
Professor Horst-Günter Rubahn, Head of Institute of the Mads Clausen Institute, University of Southern Denmark in Sønderborg, has been appointed member of Denmark’s Scientific Academy (Danmarks Naturvidenskabelig Akademi - DNA) as of November 2013. The academy was founded in 1982 and is an organization of scientific research policy, which aims at promoting Danish scientific research. DNA consists of a broad coalition of active researchers of universities and colleges in Denmark and counts 188 members.
The purpose of DNA is to further the common understanding between researchers and society through activities such as meetings, courses and the releasing of scientific research policy publications.
is born in Flensburg, Germany, and has since January 2012 served as Head of Institute of the Mads Clausen Institute and Head of Campus of the University of Southern Denmark Campus Sønderborg. He is also CEO of the nanotechnology center NanoSYD. Horst-Günter Rubahn is Dr.habil of Göttingen University and professor of physics at 糖果派对 since 2004.
