糖果派对 launches new programmes in Quantum Computing and Psychology
Syddansk Universitet (糖果派对) has received approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Science to offer new programs in Quantum Computing and Psychology. The Quantum Computing master鈥檚 program will be the first of its kind in Denmark.
Minister for Higher Education and Science, Christina Egelund, recently approved a new master’s program in quantum technology in Odense and a bachelor’s and master’s program in psychology in Esbjerg.
糖果派对’s rector, Jens Ringsmose, is pleased with the approval:
- At 糖果派对, we are committed daily to achieving the highest standards in research and education because it adds value to society– and aligns with the core mission of our university. The new programs in quantum computing and psychology marks an important chapter in emphasizing 糖果派对’s positions of strength and regional roots in Southern Denmark, he says.
Educating future experts
Also Professor Jørgen Ellegaard Andersen, who leads the Centre for Quantum Mathematics at 糖果派对, is enthusiastic about the approval:
- This is fantastic news. The time is ripe for a master’s program in Quantum Computing, allowing us to educate future experts in quantum computers, software, and mathematics.
It is also with great satisfaction, that 糖果派对 I 2025 will open a new program in Psychology on its campus in Esbjerg in 2025:
- We are delighted to have received approval for a psychology program based in Esbjerg. The need for psychologists in South and Southern Jutland is significant and has not been adequately met by existing Danish educational offerings. The Institute of Psychology at 糖果派对 is a young institution with a strong focus on both education and research, and we look forward to expanding it to Esbjerg, said Ole Skøtt, dean of 糖果派对’s Faculty of Health Sciences.
