Research areas

The research unit conducts clinically-oriented research within the three major disease areas that the department handles in accordance with the regional hospital plan: Breast cancer, Skin and melanoma cancer, and Cancer-related gastrointestinal surgery with a focus on colorectal cancer.

The research unit's colorectal section is part of the multidisciplinary team in the regional Center of Excellence for colorectal cancer, along with other collaborators.
