Abstract:

I will explain how we use perturbative Chern-Simons theory to construct a Maurer-Cartan element in the canonical bi-Lie algebra on cyclic Hochschild cochains of de Rham cohomology. I will illustrate this on the example of S^1. I will outline relations of the twisted homotopy algebra to geometric structures on the loop space and in symplectic geometry.
