About
Center for Cold War Studies
The Center for Cold War Studies was founded in 2006 with the aim of maintaining and strengthening independent research on the Cold War. Central to the center's activities is the promotion of international cooperation. The center serves as a home for guest researchers, organizes seminars and conferences, provides funding, and maintains ongoing dialogue with partners and the public.
What's happening in 2025?
The Center for Cold War Studies is co-organizer of the conference "80 Years of the End of the War" in Flensburg (22-23 May), "Need to Know XIV" in Prague (8-12 September), and partners in the European Network for Remembrance and Solidarity conference "Genealogies of Memory 2025: What remains from the Second World War? Remnants, Memories and Narratives Revisited" (17-19 September).
We are also hosting the 15th Danish-German Summer University (3-9 August).
