Interacting Robots in Everyday Life and the Transformation of Society (IRELTS)

The robots are coming - will they improve our lives?

IRELTS explores the technical and societal challenges of integrating robots into daily life, a complex issue that requires designing interactive agents and ensuring their acceptance through interdisciplinary dialogue. The project aims to enhance understanding of both robots and humans, emphasising the need for predictive models of human behaviour to ensure smooth interactions and positive societal reception. It also incorporates aesthetics, such as literature and visual art, to explore the opportunities and risks of robots in everyday environments. The vision is to harness the benefits of robots for society while addressing their risks.
