COPe Participates in the People's Meeting
- Can One Die from Vulnerability?
Is vulnerability an inevitable part of aging – or is it a product of the healthcare system’s structure and political choices?
At the People's Meeting 2025, we will focus on how the healthcare system’s interaction with older adults shapes their experience of vulnerability and dignity. Do current health strategies keep older people in a state of dependency, or can we rethink the system to instead promote autonomy and quality of life? The political decisions we make today have a significant impact on how older adults experience their final years.
Behind the initiative are Dorthe Nielsen (Professor of Vulnerability), Michael Bech, the Knowledge Center for Citizen Science, and the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Southern Denmark.
