Benefits include.
- A collective funding stipend of 30,000 DKK for organizing a retreat, workshop, lecture series, or consultancy session. This funding will be used by the visiting fellow cohort during (and not extending beyond) their term.
- Participation in weekly Society of Fellows meetings, which are held 12.00 to 13.00 each Tuesday and include activities such as research presentations, grant-writing workshops, and lab visits.
- Participation in other DIAS events, including lectures, workshops, and development courses.
- A 2-semester fellowship term from September to June.
Eligibility and Terms
- The DIAS Visiting Fellowship is open to all researchers at ÌǹûÅÉ¶Ô who hold a Ph.D., but priority will be given to applicants who will benefit from engagement with members of the Society of Fellows, which consists of Assistant and early Associate Professors.
- As a rule of thumb, a visiting fellow will be appointed for a 2-semester term extending from September until June following application. Shorter terms of minimum 1 semester will be considered in view of rationale presented in the motivation letter.
- The DIAS visiting fellowship term must not exceed your term at ÌǹûÅɶÔ. If your contract does not extend until June, then its projected end date must be identified in your motivation later (along with any expected contract extensions).
Application
The programme calls for new applications once a year. Two visiting fellows will be selected from each faculty to produce an expected yearly cohort of 10 visiting fellows.
How to apply
Your application must consist of the following:
1) A two-page motivation letter detailing your:
- interest in interdisciplinary research and drive for participating in a multidisciplinary environment;
- desired length of term;
- current teaching obligations and other factors (e.g., campus location and/or commute) that will impact your ability to participate in weekly Tuesday and Wednesday meetings at DIAS.
- career stage and reasons for seeking professional development opportunities;
2) A standard academic CV.
All applications will be reviewed by the DIAS Society of Fellows.
