Andreas has been a part of Jesper G. S. Madsen’s research group, MADLAB, since 2023, where he has created a data integration package for single-nucleus ATAC-sequencing data and neural networks for liver disease predictions.
Andreas is employed as a PhD through ATLAS where he works within WP4 which revolves around biomarkers and disease trajectories of Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD). The overarching aim of his PhD is to non-linearly dimensionally reduce the multiple data modalities with variational-autoencoders to identify liver disease trajectories within obese patients of the ATLAS cohort. Moreover, the project also aims to create neural network classifiers for disease prediction of MASLD from non-invasive data modalities.
